1. General
- The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the Laws of Badminton as prescribed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF), subject to any tournament-specific exceptions mutually agreed upon by the players and the Tournament Committee prior to the commencement of play.
- The organisers reserve the right to amend, revise, or update these rules at any time, if deemed necessary.
- All participants enter and play at their own risk. Players are strongly advised to have appropriate medical and accidental insurance coverage. The organisers shall not be held responsible for any injuries, losses, or damages incurred during the event.
2. Reporting & Timekeeping
- All players must report to the registration desk at least 30 minutes prior to their first scheduled game.
- Players must be present at their designated court at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start of their game.
- A maximum grace period of 5 minutes will be allowed. Failure to report within this time shall result in a walkover being awarded to the opponent.
3. Equipment & Attire
- Players must wear proper badminton attire and non-marking court shoes.
- The organisers may deny participation to players who do not comply with the attire guidelines.
- Players must use only the shuttlecocks supplied by the organisers.
4. Categories & Eligibility
- Open Category: Open to all players, both men and women. Open graded players are not permitted to enter Mixed Doubles or any lower category.
- Players may choose to play in a higher category but cannot enter a lower category than their assigned grade. For example, G1 players are not permitted to participate in G2.
- G1 Category: For A Grade and B Grade players only. Two A Grade players cannot play together as a team.
- G2 Category: For C Grade and D Grade players only.
- Under 16: Open for both boys and girls.

5. Tournament Format
5.1 Group/League Stage
- Each team will play against every other team in their respective group
- Format: Single game, first to reach 31 points
- Court change: Change sides at 15 points
- Scoring: Winner receives 2 points; Loser receives 0 points
- No-show (Walkover): Present team gets 2 points (21–0); absent team gets 0 points
- Team with highest points moves to next stage
Tiebreaker Rules:
- Two-way Tie: Winner of the head-to-head match advances
- Three-way Tie: Team with the most points scored advances. If two teams remain tied, head-to-head winner advances.
5.2 Pre-Quarter & Quarterfinals
- Format: Single game, first to reach 31 points
- Court change: Change sides at 15 points
- Advancement: Winner moves on to the next stage
- No-show (Walkover): Present team moves on to the next stage
5.3 Semi-finals & Finals
- Format: Single game, first to reach 31 points
- Court change: Change sides at 15 points
- No-show (Walkover): Present team will be awarded as the Winner
- Schedule adjustments: If the tournament is running behind schedule, the organisers may switch the format to a single game, first to reach 31 points.
6. Match Regulations & Errors
- Warm-up: 3 minutes per match
- Shuttle hitting roof, lights, or fixtures: Point to opponent, no re-serve
- Wrong side serve or incorrect order: Correct and continue with existing score
Rally is replayed if:
- Shuttle is damaged or breaks
- Someone or something enters the court
- External interference occurs
7. Referee & Umpire Decisions
- All decisions are final
- Players must follow all umpire/referee decisions
- Misconduct, arguments, or non-compliance may lead to warnings, point penalties, or disqualification
8. Refund Policy
- In the event of unforeseen interruptions (e.g., power failure, emergencies), the organisers may postpone, reschedule, or cancel specific matches or the entire tournament.
- The organisers shall not be responsible for any financial or other losses arising from such cancellations or changes.
- No refunds will be provided after the tournament draw has been announced, unless the event is completely cancelled.
- All refund-related decisions remain solely at the discretion of the organisers.
